Pre-Hack Facts
Dear QUEEN CITY hackers,
QUEEN CITY <hack> is this Friday and Saturday! We hope you are ready to hack out a solution for our non-profit partner, CC RezQs Regina. Be sure to check your inboxes later on in the week for CC RezQs’ challenge statement!
We are extremely happy to see that you have registered online and wanted to share some day-of details with you. See below!
Judges
We are excited to announce our three judges! They will be in charge of judging your completed projects based on technical innovation, impact, and marketplace deliverability.
- Krystal Kolodziejak Director of Innovation || Farm Credit Canada
- Jeph Maystruck Chief Interrupting Officer || Strategy Lab
- Thomas Archer CEO || SaskInteractive
Full judging criteria will be announced at the event, and will be made available on a shared Google Drive for your reference during the hackathon.
Prizes
We’re also thrilled to announce our prizes, made possible by some awesome sponsors -- GasBuddy, SaskInteractive, Sasktel, Lumberjax Axe Throwing, Houston Pizza (Hill Avenue), Laser Quest, and Compugen!
- First Place: Gold Medal, a Google Home for each team member, and more!

- Third Place: Bronze Medal, Regina “Activity Pack” for the team to share, and more!
Before the Event
We’ll be providing you with power, Wi-Fi, food and drink, but you will still need to bring a few things:
- Your laptop
- Mobile device, if creating a mobile app
- Cables, chargers and connectors for any of the above
- Data sticks are not necessary but could be handy, in case of any Wi-Fi trouble
During the Event
We’ll also be serving breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks throughout the event! If you have a food restriction or allergy, please contact Chelsea at cgrumbly@gasbuddy.com.
